Hi everyone! I am Leslie Tan Zheng Yu.
Today, we started off with reading period, which was like any other day. Then, we had IS lessons. Today, we learnt c++ programming. I did not really understood it. Anyway, I do not really like IS. I do not understand the need for learning IS. It is quite confusing. I am sure that many of you do not like IS. But we have no choice. It is better to cope than to complain. To solve this problem, I feel that someone who is good at IS (like Zi Yang) should post a short tutorial on c++. Teachers can give him ACE points and at the same time, students will be able to know how to do c++ programming. This is a win-win situation so I feel that this should be implemented.
Next, we had Literature. I will combine both period of Literature so that I would not have to repeat again. We learnt how to analyse poem. The poem is about a teacher who is very angry with his students and wishes to give up. The poem also mentioned about the students resembling dogs, which shows us how mischievous the students are. This poem shows us how stressful being a teacher can be. Mr Krison also taught us techinques of analysing poems but I could not remember everything he said. There is one about words pronounced with vowels and another one about words pronounced without vowels. He also taught us about white space, shape, word division....I cannot remember all. Nick asked some questions but some people laughed at him. When one of the person who laughed at Nick was asked to explain the answer to his questions, he could not answer it at all. I find it really ironic. Why would someone laugh at others for not knowing something when they themselves do not even know what the answer is? Even if that person knows the answer, he should not laugh at others.
Then it was finally recess. It is one of my favourite period because we can do whatever we want and we can relax. How about we set a rule to have two period recess? I am sure most of you would agree but I doubt that the teachers allow this to happen.
We had Maths after recess. We talked about some numeral systems like mayan, egypt, babylonian...I think that's all. There is nothing interesting to talk about maths but it is interesting to solve.
We had Geography after Literature. We talked about all kinds of rocks like sedimentary, ingenious and metamorphic. It was ok... not too boring but not too interesting at the same time.
So, I hope that everyone knows more about me (especially matthew). With that, I will end off.
